About Dr. Malik Muhammad

Dr. Malik Muhammad is a seasoned clinical director and psychologist who has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. He considers this field to be vital to humanity, and he has made it his duty to assist those in need whenever he is able. His ambition to change the system is fueled in part by his personal experiences. Malik saw a gap between disturbed teenagers and adults in need of assistance and the care workers assigned to their cases, and he knew he wanted to help.

Malik holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in clinical psychology, and a doctorate degree in clinical psychology. He is also the author of My Silent Loud and the founder of Elite Bio-Behavioral, a nontraditional therapy clinic, and I Dreamt of Being Me, a Durham, North Carolina-based charitable organization. Their goal is to improve both the mental and physical health of low-income communities of color.
